The team here at Liss Ard put huge emphasis into family holidays where children are centre stage. The guest facilities, leisure options and wide range of estate activities available in the 200 acres of gardens, include cycle and walking trails, lake based activities include fishing and boating. Liss Ard Country Estate is a haven for family trips, encouraging day long interaction between parents and their children, so all go to bed tired and excited about the following days.

For the active, Liss Ard is a playground of possibilities. The protected natural park surrounding the properties is a land waiting to be discovered, whether by mountain bike or on foot.

And then there's the ponds and lakes where an array of water sports options is available: kayaking, wild swimming, fishing, and bird watching.  Dont forget to ask about our GPS tracking trail and our nature 'Discovery Days'.

Don't worry if there is an occasional 'damp' day we are well equipped for indoor fun too, including table tennis, playstations, 'make-n-do', board games, activities monitored and facilitated by an estate host.

But the estate is also about relaxation. Doing absolutely nothing can be equally appealing. Eating good locally produced food and snoozing in a hidden corner of the garden may be your idea of heaven.

An estate host will cater for the activities of the day during the season, allowing parents to engage in any or all of the activities, or let the children be entertained under the guidance of the host. Mum, or Dad, can of course escape for an hour or two for a massage or just afternoon tea and a good book in the library or drawing room.
